Competitor & SERP analysis
Before writing or fixing anything, I look at what already ranks, why it ranks, and what the results page rewards. That tells you which keywords are worth targeting, what type of page wins, and where competitors are weak.
What’s included
- SERP audit per keyword group: result types, page formats, freshness and dominant domains
- Search intent classification (informational, commercial, transactional, navigational) and mixed-intent detection
- SERP feature analysis: AI Overviews, featured snippets, People Also Ask, maps, shopping, video and images
- Competitor identification by SERP overlap, not only by who you think competes
- Content gap and topic coverage analysis against the pages that rank
- Backlink and internal linking comparison at page and site level
- Technical benchmark: speed, rendering, structured data and site architecture versus competitors
- Arabic and English SERP differences, including dialect, spelling and local competitors
What you get
- A SERP and intent map for your priority keywords
- A competitor gap report with the pages and topics to build first
- A prioritized plan: create, improve, merge or leave alone
- Page briefs that match the intent and format Google rewards
- A repeatable process and dashboard to re-check the SERP every quarter
Who it’s for
Teams planning content or a new section, sites stuck below competitors with similar pages, and anyone entering a new market or language.
Advanced technical work
- SERP overlap clustering: keywords that share the same ranking URLs belong on one page
- Format analysis: which page types, lengths and structures the top results share
- Rank tracking by market, language and device, with SERP snapshots kept for comparison
- Automated SERP monitoring via APIs, with alerts when result types or leaders change
How it works
- 01Define the keyword universeI group keywords by topic and intent, in Arabic and English where relevant, so each group has one clear job.
- 02Audit the SERPsFor each group I record result types, formats, features, freshness and which domains dominate.
- 03Compare against competitorsI compare content coverage, links, architecture and technical health page by page to find where you can win.
- 04Prioritize and briefYou receive a ranked plan and page briefs, and we re-check the SERP on a schedule.
What I need from you
- Your priority products, topics or markets
- Search Console access
- A list of competitors you already know
Frequently asked questions
How do you find real competitors?
By SERP overlap: the domains that repeatedly appear for your target keywords. They are often different from the brands you compete with commercially, such as publishers, marketplaces and forums.
What is search intent and why does it matter?
It is what the searcher wants to achieve. If Google shows product pages and you publish an article, you are unlikely to rank however good it is. The SERP shows which format is rewarded.
Do you copy what competitors do?
No. The goal is to understand what the SERP requires, then find angles, data or formats competitors miss.
How many keywords do you analyze?
It depends on the site. I usually work with clusters of related keywords rather than single terms, so the analysis stays actionable.
Do you use AI in this analysis?
Yes, for classification and pattern spotting at scale, with every conclusion reviewed by me against the live results.
